History
The Lambrick Park Baseball Association (LPBA) was established in the early 70s, and is home to one of the few dedicated youth baseball diamonds in Greater Victoria, and one of only two with lights.
Our focus is currently at the Bantam (ages 13-14), Midget (ages 15-17) and Junior (ages 18-22) levels of baseball. The LPBA hosted eight teams out of the park in the 2011 spring season. Lambrick Park is also the home of Fall Baseball in Victoria, with almost 200 players on 14 teams participating at the Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget levels.
The Lambrick Park Baseball Association is a member of:
- Greater Victoria Baseball Association (GVBA)
- BC Minor Baseball Association (BCMBA)
- Baseball BC
- Baseball Canada
Executive
Lambrick Park Baseball has a very active executive group that is continually adding to the facilities. After adding a new clubhouse, updated stands and a new scoreboard in the last few years, the executive has added a new fence to the park, lights and new infield dirt. Each year we work with the municipality of Saanich to improve the quality of the field in the off-season and it really shows. The last major project was the replacement of the dugouts in spring 2009.
In addition to expanding the facility, the executive is working hard on the fundamentals of any baseball league. We are in the community regularly looking for support and sponsorships from the businesses in the area. Finally, we are expanding the ways we are getting the word out about the excitement of Lambrick Park baseball in order to attract more players to "Play Ball!" through their middle and high school years.
The 2012 LPBA Executive is made up of the following dedicated individuals:
