LPBA is pleased to announce that Chris Stewart will be taking the helm as manager of our 2010 Bantam AA team. Chris is a long-time coach and manager with the Gordon Head and Lambrick Baseball associations and most recently led his Lambrick Park Canadian Tire Bantam A team to the 2009 City Bantam A Championship. Chris also has a wealth of managerial experience at the all-star level, having managed a number of GVBA all-star teams, most notably the 2004 Mosquito Rebels Provincial A Championship team. “I am looking forward to a fun, successful and competitive season at the AA level” notes Stewart. “We have a good group of returning second year Bantam players that I hope will form the core of this team, as well as a number of all-star caliber first years coming up from Pee Wee that will have a great chance at being selected for the team.”
To kick the season off, Chris will be leading the Bantam player assessment sessions which are tentatively scheduled for the weekends of February 27-28 and March 6-7. All Bantam players (whether they wish to play at the AA or A house level) are required to attend. Stay tuned for more details and specific times.
